Register a Private Company in South Africa

Please select the number of directors for your Pty Company.

Pty Company Registration

• A private company must end its name with "Pty (Ltd)" or "Proprietary Limited."
• To register a new private company, at least one director is required.
• Each incorporator will automatically become a first director of the Pty Company.
• You will receive email updates throughout the registration process.
• All registration documents are submitted to the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) using a short standard form.
• The company's standard rules are outlined in the memorandum of incorporation (MOI), which accompanies the final registration certificate.
• You will receive the company incorporation certificate and documents via email, which can be used to open a business bank account.

The registration cost is R1,350, covering:

- the company name reservation certificate,
- the company registration certificate,
- the company income tax number, and
- a free BEE affidavit.
